I can trace my vintage obsession back to one seminal event, an antique show in Atlanta a few years ago. There they were - two gleaming Pyrex Butterprint mixing bowls; not even a full set mind you, just two lone mixing bowls. Perfect in every way, the same bowls my Mother had used to lovingly make all those wonderful cakes and cookies I remember from my childhood.....I was a goner.

From that moment on, I've been hooked. An entire world of beautiful lost objects just waiting to be discovered - vintage radios, housewares, office products, vinyl records; I find beauty and joy in them all. And in case you’re wondering, yes, I did complete my set of mixing bowls; added matching refrigerator dishes, a casserole set and well, you get where this is going.

Somewhere along the way I discovered the thrill of the hunt was only half the fun. Researching the history and meaning of each item, restoring pieces to their original glory and ultimately finding them a new home was just as gratifying; so I set up The Vintage Resource to pass along all the retro wonderfulness I've found out on my vintage journey.
